NFQCLAB is among the first two (2) food testing laboratories to attain accreditation in 2007 and the first laboratory to accredit many microbiological test parameters in the country for microbiological quality control and safety aspects.
There are fourteen (14) accredited parameters for food, animal feeds and water matrices. In food and animal feeds matrix eight (8) parameters namely: - Total Plate Counts (TPC), Total Coliforms, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterobacteriaceae, Salmonella spp., Vibrio cholerae, Vibrio parahaemolyticus and Escherichia coli. Additionally, in water matrix are six (6) accredited parameters which are; Total Plate Counts at 22˚C and 37˚C, Escherichia coli at 37˚C and 44˚C, Coliform bacteria at 37˚C and Thermotolerant coliform bacteria at 44˚C.
